Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a degreed Electrical Design Engineer for its Hunt Valley, MD team. The engineer will contribute from concept through construction and commissioning on facilities projects, collaborating with senior staff to resolve complex design challenges.

Ideal candidates hold a ABET-accredited EE degree, 0–5 years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD/CADD and Revit. Immigration sponsorship is not available; strong communication and teamwork skills are

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 0–5 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training certification.
• Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD/CADD and Revit.
• Experience working with local county/state clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform design computations.
• Provide input on solutions using engineering fundamentals.
• Assist with layout and design of routine small and medium projects.
• Evaluate equipment and materials.
• Design projects per client specifications using design software.
• Develop construction cost estimates.
• Prepare contract plans, specifications and estimates.
• Coordinate with internal team to meet deadlines and quality.
