Actalent is seeking an Electrical Designer to support planning and design of electrical infrastructure for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical facilities in Cedar Park, TX. The role involves creating moderate 2D CAD drawings and reviewing vendor documentation under senior designers.

You will apply NEC standards, perform power distribution designs, and engage in load flow and short-circuit calculations.

Qualificações

• Electrical Engineering degree and NEC familiarity required
• 3+ years of design experience in electric utility, generation, substation, transmission, or distribution projects (All backgrounds considered)
• Power and Controls experience
• Be able to create electrical schematics, grid plan layouts, power distribution systems, lighting, and grounding designs.
• Be able to perform load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, arc flash, and conduit/cable sizing calculations.
• Be able to select and specify transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, and relay protection systems.
• Develop construction documents and 2D/3D models.
• Assist with responsess for RFI and a timely manner for customer inquires.

Responsabilidades

• Operate under the direction of senior designers, the purpose of this position is to provide the essential technical knowledge and perform the work listed.
• Prepare 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of moderate complexity.
• Review drawings, and vendor equipment documentation of basic to moderate complexity within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements and actively seek discrepancy resolution.
• Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
