Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering and EIT preferred.
• Proficient with NEC and electrical design standards.
• Strong AutoCAD and REVIT skills for electrical design.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Ability to read calculations and vendor data.

Responsibilities

• Determine design criteria, drawing sequence and component sizing.
• Refine sketches with quantities and equipment specs.
• Develop quantities and cost estimates for contract documents.
• Perform NEC 220 load, lighting density and short circuit calculations.
• Prepare plan drawings, riser diagrams, details, and schedules.
• Develop solutions to design problems and select equipment with guidance.
• Assist in creating construction cost estimates and attend meetings.
• Conduct site surveys and engineering studies.
• Ensure projects stay on budget and on time.
• Support software requests and assist other business areas as needed.
• Duties as assigned by Electrical Discipline Lead.
