Sanmina Corporation in Huntsville, AL is recruiting an Electronic Design Engineer to support the Aircraft Systems team. You will contribute to electrical design activities from requirements through LRIP with minimal supervision in a defense/aerospace context.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, development of microprocessor-based designs, and rigorous documentation and testing to ensure reliability and compliance with customer requirements.

Formación

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer & Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in electronic/electro-mechanical design using Cadence Allegro or other ECAD software.
• Experience with microcontroller circuit design, microcontroller programming, and standard electronic test/measurement equipment.
• Solid understanding of design methods for EMI/EMC mitigation.
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop innovative electrical and microprocessor designs based on defined system requirements.
• Document designs with schematic drawings and supporting design documentation, as well as analysis and design description documentation for customer reviews.

• Utilize tools such as simulation, rapid prototyping, and testing to justify design decisions.
• Maintain active technical communication with internal cross-functional teams and external customers.

Joining our Aircraft Systems team in developing new instrumentation products, you will support electrical design activities from requirements definition through development, qualification testing, and low-rate initial production (LRIP) with minimal supervision.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer & Systems Engineering, or a similar field from an ABET-accredited university.
• Experience: 0–2 years of experience in the design of electronic and/or electro-mechanical systems using Cadence Allegro or other ECAD software.
• Experience with microcontroller circuit design, microcontroller programming, and standard electronic test/measurement equipment.
• Solid understanding of design methods for EMI/EMC mitigation.
• Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, alongside strong problem-solving skills, eager mindset to learn, and strong written/verbal communication skills.

How To Stand Out

• Master’s degree (MS) in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience with the design of DoD-type electronics and related military systems.
• Practical experience applying data acquisition tools such as LabVIEW.
