Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to support the Savannah River Site from our Aiken, SC location. The role focuses on design changes to electrical systems, power distribution, and related infrastructure.

The incumbent will prepare diagrams and specifications, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and support field verification and as-built updates. A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and industrial design experience are required.

  • Experience in electrical design for industrial facilities.
  • Knowledge of power distribution and equipment interface design.

  • Support design changes to distribution systems, motor feeders, lighting, grounding, UPS-supported systems, and equipment power.
  • Evaluate electrical impacts of new or modified process and facility equipment.
  • Coordinate with I&C, mechanical, HVAC, and fire protection disciplines on integrated design changes.
  • Support installation, testing, field verification, and as-built updates.

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Electrical Design Engineer opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.

Work Location: Aiken, SC

Electrical Design Engineer

The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for design changes affecting facility electrical systems, power distribution, equipment power supply, and associated support infrastructure.

Duties
  • Prepare one-line diagrams, load calculations, equipment connection details, cable schedules, and electrical specifications.
  • Support design changes to distribution systems, motor feeders, lighting, grounding, UPS-supported systems, and equipment power.
  • Evaluate electrical impacts of new or modified process and facility equipment.
  • Coordinate with I&C, mechanical, HVAC, and fire protection disciplines on integrated design changes.
  • Support installation, testing, field verification, and as-built updates.
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in electrical design for industrial facilities.
  • Knowledge of power distribution and equipment interface design.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with facility upgrades, equipment power modifications, and electrical support for process facilities.
  • Familiarity with backup power or UPS-supported system.
Other Job Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
