GRDA is seeking qualified candidates for the position of CAD/Document Control specialist at its Grand River Energy Center (GREC), located just thirty (30) miles east of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The CAD and Document Control Specialist is primarily responsible for the administration, organization, maintenance, and control of engineering, construction, and operational documents throughout their lifecycle. This position ensures that records, drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation are accurately maintained, properly stored, and readily accessible in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. In addition to document control responsibilities, the position provides CAD support, including the creation, revision, maintenance, and management of technical drawings, as-built documents, and related engineering records. The role works closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, and project teams to ensure documentation accuracy, configuration control, and effective information management.

3D modeling skills. Ability to use AutoCAD, Autodesk Plant 3D, Navisworks Freedom, Universal Plant Creator, Document Adapter, Drafting skills ranging from 2D to advanced 3D with general knowledge of all disciplines. Ability to edit complex XREFs and geolocate objects within the AutoCAD environment. Ability to gather dimensions for new/existing facility data to capture design-related changes and incorporate those into a wide variety of dwg types. Be able to navigate within the Universal Plant Viewer environment as a power user. Be able to use/understand the ImageSite Document Management environment and facilitate the addition of new users, explain to others how the system operates, and how best to organize the data for ease of user access/location. Be able to handle multiple projects/dwg requests simultaneously while keeping up with drafting changes and dwg additions to Imagesite. Document Control SharePoint or equal Experience with the application of design theories, principles, and concepts. Bachelor's Degree -- Engineering Design or equivalent Autodesk Plant 3D 15+ years in a power plant or oil and gas industry
Valid Oklahoma driver’s license, or the ability to convert within 30 days for those with an out of state driver’s license that are an Oklahoma resident.
Functional competency with personal computers; prefer experience with AutoCAD, Maximo, Outlook, Visio, Project, Power Point, Excel, Access, and Word. The position requires advanced knowledge of industrial processes (mechanical, chemical, and electrical) and drafting tools/software (CAD, SolidWorks, 3D modeling, ImageSite). Attention to detail Must possess and demonstrate excellent writing and composition skills. Must be comfortable giving verbal presentations before groups.
Must be able to walk, climb stairs, crawl, work from ladders and elevated platforms. Must not have a fear of heights, confined spaces, or working around high voltage equipment.
Work locations range from an office environment to outdoors and/or indoors in a high noise/high temperature environment with possible work in confined spaces. Odd shifts and after-hours work may be required under system emergency (possible during outages)
Work is performed primarily at the Grand River Energy Center in Chouteau, Oklahoma. Minimal travel requirements.
