Job summary

Elliott Electric Supply in Monroe, LA is seeking a Counter Sales Person who will assist customers through the sales process, respond to inquiries, and promote products from catalogs and price sheets.

This safety-sensitive role requires pre-employment drug testing; candidates should have at least a year in the electrical industry or knowledge of electrical products, strong math, and solid PC skills, with English and Spanish a plus. You will work in a team to deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of one year experience in the electrical industry and/or knowledge of electrical products beneficial.
• Strong mathematical ability.
• Basic familiarity with the use of a personal computer.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
• Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, including an ability to plan and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Fluent in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• The Counter Sales Person is responsible for providing assistance to customers during the sales/purchase process and for responding to customer inquiries in a professional manner.
• Markets all products sold and suggests replacement/alternative products when appropriate.
