Job summary

First Quality Tissue SE in Anderson, SC is seeking a Controls Technician to troubleshoot and maintain production equipment, ensuring highest reliability, proper line performance, and safe operation.

The ideal candidate will have a 2-year technical degree or 5+ years in industrial controls, strong electrical theory knowledge, PLC/DCS/HMI programming, and the ability to modify control software and wiring with the controls team.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of electrical theory and principles of operation.
• Ability to make quick and accurate electrical repairs and program changes.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-year technical degree or 5+ years’ experience in industrial controls maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting machine breakdowns and malfunctions with PLC/DCS/HMI systems and servo controls.
• Making complex program modifications in PLC logic and servo controller logic to improve equipment performance.
• Collaborating with Controls Engineers to implement changes on DCS systems.
