The The Electrical & Controls Technician supports the Engineering Department in executing electrical and controls-related projects while serving as a flexible technical resource for maintenance operations. This role is responsible for supporting capital projects, improving system reliability, reducing downtime, and maintaining plant equipment and infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations.**TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES** **Supervisory Duties** **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience:** Formal certification in Electrical trade through accredited trade school or college or 7 years in an automation or controls engineering role.Minimum of 3 years of experience in wiring, troubleshooting and development of controls systems. Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. Must be a self-starter and can handle multiple tasks and requests. Must have the ability to communicate clearly to multiple levels throughout the organization. Ability to work some weekends for project work and field emergency phone calls. **Technical Skills:**Strong proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic modifications.Working knowledge of Ethernet/IP protocol. **Knowledge requested but not required:**Position requires the ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods, step, balance, crouch, stoop, kneel, squat, bend, must be able to lift minimal 50 lbs. consistently, reach above shoulders, or as needed to complete tasks.Must be able to occasionally climb stairs or a ladder to complete tasks.
