Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a Controls Technician for an on-site role in Swedesboro, NJ. You will maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems on high-speed production lines, and provide technical leadership across shifts.

You will troubleshoot, train Electro-Mechanics, manage PLCs and drives, and ensure GMP, safety, and quality standards while supporting utility systems. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with extensive industrial controls, automation, or electrical maintenance experience.
• Reading electrical schematics, work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.
• Proficiency with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, and Mitsubishi programming, configuration, and troubleshooting software.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize plant electrical, automation, and process control systems to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and controls-related equipment failures.
• Train and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for PLCs, drives, networks, and production equipment.
• Maintain electrical schematics, control programs, system configurations, and equipment documentation.
• Support plant utility systems including steam, refrigeration, HVAC, compressed air, water, and power distribution.
• Follow GMP, safety, quality, and regulatory standards and drive continuous improvement.
