Job summary

Marmon Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Controls Technician in Murphysboro, IL to support the startup and operation of a new aluminum extrusion facility.

The role requires at least an associate degree in Electrical Technology and 2+ years of industrial automation experience, including PLC platforms like Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Mitsubishi, HMIs, VFDs, and servo systems. You will troubleshoot, install, and commission sophisticated control systems on site.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Technology or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting industrial electrical and automation systems.
• Experience with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Mitsubishi.
• Knowledge of HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial controls.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment and automated systems.
• Install, maintain, modify PLC, HMI, VFDs, servo, and network systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures using drawings, software tools, and test instruments.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors during installations and major repairs.
• Read and interpret schematics, panel layouts, ladders, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
