Job summary

Ardagh Group seeks an Electrical Engineer to design, modify, and support controls projects from concept to on-site start-up. You will develop schematics, BOMs, and PLC/HMI programming for single machines to full lines, ensuring safety and adherence to codes.

You will coordinate with maintenance and operations, support in-house equipment builds, and contribute to Equipment Wellness programs while traveling up to 25% to manufacturing sites as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering or 7+ years' experience in Designing, programming, and implementing control systems.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, AC drives, servo controls, and machine safety.

Responsibilities

  • Understands and complies with safety SOPs and work instructions.
  • Domestic and international travel up to 25% for startup/installation/support.
  • Design and implement electrical controls for projects and equipment upgrades.
  • Generate electrical schematics and BOMs per company standards and codes.
  • Provide technical assistance to manufacturing to resolve quality/productivity issues.
  • Troubleshoot and implement solutions to production problems with electrical controls.
  • Coordinate activities with maintenance, contractors, and operations personnel.
  • Train plant electrical staff on new technologies.
