Job summary

Midway Products Group, INC is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to provide direction and support on capital projects, tooling design, build, tryout and launch, and to assist across all facilities.

You will lead control system design reviews, develop control packages for metal processing equipment, ensure vendor conformance to standards, and collaborate with IT on cyber security for industrial controls.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering with five years experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to apply ingenuity to solve design and production problems.
• Industrial PLC and robot programming skills are essential.
• Understanding of mechanical presses, servo stamping presses, transfer controls, and industrial power distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical controls and programming direction on capital projects and tooling design, build, tryout and launch.
• Lead or participate in projects of greater magnitude and scope, possibly more than one at a time.
• Ensure vendor conformance to Controls/Programming Standards and review progress against milestones.
• Develop control packages for metal processing and assembly equipment and oversee plant controls engineers.
