Job summary

Electronic Marine Systems, a 47 yr old technology company, designs automation for ships with offices in NJ and Seattle. We seek a team-oriented engineer to design and supervise the manufacturing of control and monitoring systems for commercial and naval ships, producing equipment drawings, wiring diagrams, and interface designs.

You will assist in the functional design of HMI, PLC architecture, networks and communication interfaces, and perform factory acceptance tests to customer and regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience designing and supervising manufacturing of shipboard control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and supervise the manufacturing of control and monitoring systems for commercial and naval ships, producing equipment drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, cable interconnection drawings and interface designs.
• Assist in the functional design of HMI, PLC architecture, networks and communication interfaces.
• Perform factory acceptance tests of the finished system to customer and regulatory societies; support commissioning and sea trials from the office, with ship visits.

As part of a team you will design and supervise the manufacturing of control and monitoring systems for Commercial and Naval Ships. You will work to produce equipment drawings , electrical wiring diagrams,cable interconnection drawings and interface designs. Assist in the functional design of HMI, PLC architecture, networks and communication interfaces. Perform Factory acceptance test of the finished system to both customer and regulatory societies. Support commissioning and sea trials from the office but at times visiting the ship.Finally provide technical advice and assistance to sales, and service personnel.
