Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager on electrical construction projects. This role requires quick adaptation to changing conditions and strong communication.

The position reports to regional executives and the Project Manager, with daily direction from the site Project Manager. You will work from construction sites and collaborate with the project team on cost tracking, QA/QC, RFIs, and submittals.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of assistant project management experience in electrical construction, industrial and commercial OR a bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field
• Basic knowledge in Electrical Project Management, NEC, OSHA, and Safety Codes/Practices
• Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced work environment with very tight deadlines
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Project Manager for cost, progress tracking, QA/QC, RFIs and Submittals
• Participate in takeoffs, budgeting, procurement, pull planning, scheduling, and production tracking
• Manage and implement progress installed quantity tracking with project team guidance
• Maintain QA/QC documentation in adherence to guidelines
• Assemble and maintain closeout documents and punch lists
• Manage RFI submissions and responses
• Create and submit submittals and cross-reference data
• Attend kickoff and site meetings
• Assist with bid analysis and issue identification
• Support Prefab solutions and scheduling integration
• Communicate effectively with other departments
