Job summary

INP Schweiz AG is seeking an experienced electrical commissioning engineer. The role involves executing commissioning of electrical power systems in heavy-duty and industrial power plants, collaborating with leading OEMs, and leading commissioning of systems.

The ideal candidate will hold an Electrical Engineering degree, possess hands-on experience with protection relays, and be willing to travel internationally for commissioning projects. We offer extensive technical training and support for long-term career development.

Qualifications

• 3 years hands-on experience in a similar commissioning role, preferably on power plant sites.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Valid work permit in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Execute commissioning of electrical power systems in heavy-duty and industrial power plants.
• Commissioning lead of LV-MV-HV and DC systems including switchgears and protection systems.
• Work on new systems with various OEMs like GE, Siemens Energy.

Job description

• Execute commissioning of electrical power systems in heavy‑duty and industrial power plants (150–1000 MW) across a wide range of power generation applications, including combined cycle, steam power, industrial power plants, thermo‑solar facilities, SynCons etc.
• Possibility to work on new and different systems and with a range of OEM’s (GE, Ansaldo, Siemens Energy, etc.)
• Commissioning lead of LV‑MV‑HV and DC systems (switchgears, motors, auxiliaries), protection systems (Unit‑ / Generator‑ / Transformer Protection), as well as primary equipment such as GCB’s and Transformers

How you can help us

• Electrical Engineering degree
• 3 years hands‑on experience in a similar commissioning role, preferably on power plant sites
• Hands‑on experience working with protection relays of various manufacturers (Siemens, ABB, GE, etc.) and proven test equipment (Omicron CMC356, Sverker, etc.)
• Willingness to work internationally on challenging commissioning projects
• Team player, able to interact with customers and coworkers from other cultures and origins
• Ability to communicate in English
• Valid work permit in Europe
