Job summary

Munters seeks a working cell leader to help build equipment and supervise daily assignments in production areas. You will direct flow lanes and oversee assembly per BOMs, prints, and wiring diagrams, ensuring safety and quality.

This role requires lifting up to 75 lbs, operating hand and power tools, and leading Tier Meetings at 9:10 AM. Standard schedules with overtime and excellent benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble sheet metal parts using BOM, drawings, prints, wiring diagrams and work instructions.
  • Lead morning Tier Meetings with direct reports in assigned areas.
  • Update Production Tier Boards and provide daily updates at Tier Meetings.
  • Direct and assist flow lane employees with daily work assignments.
  • Ensure safety practices and PPE usage; enforce safety rules.
  • Complete quality assurance inspection and in-process paperwork.
  • Maintain safe, organized work areas and report problems promptly.
  • Use hand and power tools, assembly fixtures, cranes and forklifts.

Scope

Working cell leader who, in addition to helping build equipment, is also responsible for assisting supervisor with daily work assignments and directing employees who report to production supervisor in specific work areas (i.e. flow lanes, sub-assembly areas). Additional work area assignments may apply.

Assembly Essential Duties

Work from bill of material (BOM), assembly drawings, prints, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to assemble sheet metal parts and components using various hand and power tools as needed. Lead morning Tier Meetings with their direct reports in assigned areas of responsibility. Update Production Tier Boards and provide updates to the team members at our daily 9:10 AM Tier Meetings. Receive and sign for purchase components and materials needed to build specific work orders in specific production areas. Ensure scheduled orders are built per the production schedule to meet scheduled ship dates. Direct and assist flow lane employees with daily work assignments. Ensure daily labor is entered and in-process check sheets are completed as required. Responsible for safety awareness and enforcement of safety practices (including the use of PPE). Assist supervisor with skills and knowledge development of existing and new employees. Complete quality assurance inspection and in-process paperwork. Maintain safe, and organized work area. Notify supervisor or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, or documentation.

Other Duties

Perform or assist with any operations throughout the factory, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements. Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition. Consistently operate in keeping with all safety rules and requirements. Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to assist with training new employees, integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Tools and Equipment

Use hand and hand power tools, assembly fixtures, crane devices such as vacuum lifters, cranes and forklifts.

Physical Demand

Occasionally move up to 75 lbs. Frequently stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, climb, maneuver, stoop, squat, lift, grasp, and reach.
