Quartus Engineering in San Diego is seeking an Electrical CAD Designer to own schematic capture, cabling drawings, panel documentation, and 2D mechanical drawing production across a range of programs.
You will use SolidWorks Electrical Professional for 3D harness routing and 2D schematic/cabling, and SolidWorks Mechanical for 2D drawings from existing models. A minimum of 3 years' experience and ASME Y14.5 knowledge are required.

As an Electrical CAD Designer, you will own schematic capture, cabling drawings, panel documentation, and 2D mechanical drawing production across a wide range of engineering programs. Projects span from precision optical subassemblies with well‑defined interfaces to complete automation systems involving PLCs, electrical cabinets, and integrated PCs.
This is a SolidWorks‑native role requiring the use of SolidWorks Electrical Professional for 3D harness routing and 2D schematic/cabling documentation. On the mechanical side you will work within SolidWorks to produce 2D manufacturing and assembly drawings from existing 3D models.
Position is based on site in San Diego.
