Job summary

Lower Merion School District seeks a Skilled Building Crafts - Electrical Building Technician for first shift. The role supports district facilities by installing and maintaining high- and low-voltage systems across buildings in Bala Cynwyd, PA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum five years of experience in residential, commercial, or institutional electrical trades.
• Master Electrician preferred or Journeyman license.
• Valid PA driver’s license required.
• ACT 34 and 151 clearance and FBI clearance required.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interface with teachers, administrators, parents, students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and repair high- and low-voltage electrical systems and components in district buildings.
• Review workmanship, track work orders, and coordinate electrical installations with contractors.
• Work includes installing conduit, conductors, junction boxes, and lighting, and maintaining equipment like chillers and boilers.
