Job summary

Ambrosia Energy is seeking an assembly technician for our battery storage systems. You will build, test, and support assembly of battery packs and related components on our production line, following detailed build instructions.

The role requires hands-on work with electrical and mechanical systems and a strong focus on quality and safety. Ideal candidates have 1+ year in electronics/mechanical assembly, familiarity with testing tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters), and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional experience in electronics or mechanical assembly.
• Hands-on experience with building, debugging, testing and validating electrical systems.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters and common hand/power tools.
• Prior manufacturing/assembly or warehouse experience is preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk for a shift and lift 50 lbs.
• Strong reliability and attention to detail; you will follow written/verbal instructions in English.

We are designing and developing a distributed battery storage system to pair with solar panels that are quick and easy to install. The system is simple, robust, reliable, and easy to manufacture at scale. The system will include highly efficient DC-DC conversion, solar MPPT, power distribution, no moving parts, and efficient cable management to make everything plug and play in the field.

Responsibilities

• Build and test battery packs including wiring, installing electrical components and mechanical components, potting, etc.

• Operate laser welding machine.

• Perform automated tests of battery health.

• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other heavy equipment.

• Operate production machinery and equipment safely while ensuring quality builds.

• Assemble battery systems on a manufacturing production line, following detailed build instructions.

• Perform visual inspections of parts and finished packs to identify defects or issues.

• Load and unload materials onto the production line and assist with building job kits and organizing components and tools.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.

• Identify opportunities to improve assembly processes and communicate suggestions to the broader team.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional experience in a related field with electronics or mechanical assembly.

• Hands-on experience with building, debugging, testing, and validating electrical systems using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and similar tools. Experience with common hand and power tools.

• Prior experience in manufacturing, assembly, construction, or a warehouse environment is preferred.

• Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a shift and lift 50 lbs.

• A strong sense of reliability, with a work ethic that supports keeping the production line moving.

• Extreme attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Preferred Skills or Experience

• Familiarity with solar arrays as input power sources.

• Familiarity with lithium-ion battery handling, safety, and usage.
