Job summary

Alexander Dennis seeks an Electrical Build Support Engineer to join the Current Model Engineering team in Las Vegas. The role bridges Engineering and Production, troubleshooting electrical issues and validating functionality on the production floor to improve quality and efficiency.

You will review schematics, analyze vehicle networks, and implement practical solutions. This hands‑on position offers growth into broader engineering and product development within the Alexander Dennis family.

Qualifications

Minimum three years of engineering, technical support, or troubleshooting experience in automotive or related industries.
Experience troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems in production or service environments.
Knowledge of CAN bus networks, J1939 protocols, multiplexing, and vehicle electrical architectures.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Experience using electrical diagnostic and testing tools.
Familiarity with programming, commissioning, or validating electrical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems on the production floor and in service environments.
Analyze vehicle network communications and validate functionality.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement root cause solutions.
Review engineering docs, schematics, and diagnostic data for issue resolution.
Support vehicle commissioning, programming, and functional testing activities.
Communicate technical issues clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
Manage multiple priorities with limited supervision and on‑site teamwork.
