Job summary

Gerber Products Company, now part of Nestlé, is seeking an Electrical & Automation (E&A) Engineer for the Fremont Plant. You will maintain and upgrade high-tech distributed manufacturing and process-control systems, optimize instrumentation, automation, and IT interfaces, and support safety and world-class performance initiatives.

You will lead maintenance, project work, and equipment start-ups, mentor technicians, and collaborate with operations to improve line reliability, scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of electrical and automation engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Attend system training to become Fremont Site subject matter expert.
• Support production lines and train peers.
• Provide hardware and software application support to operations.
• Manage project scopes, design standards and functional specifications.
• Lead start-ups, qualification and handover of systems.
• Develop and supervise planned maintenance activities.
• Maintain documentation and drawings of networks, instrumentation, and controls.
• Collaborate on NCE/TPM initiatives and safety programs.
