Job summary

Ferrara/KME seeks an Electrician I to fabricate wiring harnesses and install components, circuit modules, relays and harnesses across assemblies and chassis units for electronic products. Responsibilities include wiring electrical control panels, AC/DC drives, motors, and designing electrical boxes.

Must read engineering drawings and maintain documentation; physical work including lifting up to 80 pounds and standing long hours.

Qualifications

• Must possess a HS Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must be able to read and understand English.
• Must be able to accurately read tape measure.
• Must be able to twist, bend, stoop, kneel, stand, squat, crawl, and climb.
• Must be able to perform overhead work.
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day on concrete surfaces.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted and up to 80 pounds team lift.
• Must be able to work in varying indoor and outdoor environmental conditions including but not limited to outside heat in excess of 95 degrees for up to 10 hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform various duties required to fabricate wiring harnesses and install components, circuit modules, relays and harnesses in assemblies and chassis units.
• Responsible for mechanical assembly and wiring of electrical control panels, AC/DC drives, motors, and other devices.
• Design and fabricate electrical boxes for installation of components.
• Drill, edge fill, fit and assemble detail parts and assemblies, including cutting openings to accommodate wire and components.
• Inspect for proper installations and integrity.
• Must read, understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, blueprints and schematics.
• Maintain necessary documentation and records.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Perform assembly operations on structural and mechanical sub/assemblies, equipment and accessories.
