Job summary

Post Glover Resistors in Erlanger, KY (Cincinnati metro) is seeking an Electrical Assembler (Large Enclosures) on day shift. You'll build and wire large electrical enclosures, reading engineering drawings and wiring diagrams, using hand tools, power tools, and torque-controlled tools to meet precise quality standards.

You'll report to the Large Assembly Supervisor, collaborating with Quality and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Prior assembly experience or similar background in wire prep, drawings, and paperwork.
• Ability to read and follow assembly drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Read and follow wiring diagrams and engineering drawings for builds.
• Careful, detail-focused work habits and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Build large resistor enclosures, mounting sections, brackets, and hardware per drawings.
• Cut, strip, and crimp wire, route and secure it inside the enclosure.
• Tighten connections to torque specs with torque tools and record values.
• Install terminal blocks, DIN rail, ground bars, switches, indicator lights.
• Inspect own work and complete pre-shipment inspection checklist.
• Rework or repair units that don't meet spec when assigned.
• Help train newer assemblers on large builds.
• Complete production paperwork and time tracking accurately.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE on the floor.

ROLE: Electrical Assembler (Large Enclosures)
LOCATION: Erlanger, KY (Cincinnati metro)
STARTING PAY: $20.50/hour ($0.50/hour increase at 90 days)

The Role

This is a day shift, full-time, floor-based assembly position. You'll build and wire large electrical enclosures, working from engineering drawings and wiring diagrams to put together finished units that meet precise quality standards. You'll use hand tools, power tools, and torque-controlled tools, and report to the Large Assembly Supervisor, with support from Quality, Engineering, and experienced assemblers throughout your shift. If you've built or wired products before and you're ready for larger, more complex builds, you'll find plenty to work with here.

What You'll Be Doing

• Build large resistor enclosures, mounting resistor sections, brackets, and hardware according to engineering drawings
• Cut, strip, and crimp wire, then route and secure it inside the enclosure following the wiring diagram
• Tighten connections to torque specifications using torque-controlled tools and record the values
• Install terminal blocks, DIN rail, ground bars, switches, and indicator lights
• Inspect your own work throughout the build and complete a pre-shipment inspection checklist before each unit leaves
• Rework or repair units that don't meet spec when assigned
• Help train newer assemblers on large builds
• Complete production paperwork and time tracking accurately for each job
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times on the floor

What We’re Looking For

• Prior assembly experience, or a similar background in wire prep, reading drawings, and production paperwork
• Ability to read and follow assembly drawings and wiring diagrams
• Experience with torque tools, large enclosures, or resistor assemblies is a plus, but not required
• Careful, detail-focused work habits
• Reliable attendance and a positive, team-first attitude
• Ability to stand and walk for most of your shift, lift up to 50 pounds (a coworker or lifting aid helps with heavy pieces), reach overhead, bend and squat, and wear safety glasses and steel-toe shoes
