Job summary

Stewart & Stevenson is hiring an Electrical Assembler III to join our Houston, TX facility. The role requires reading blueprints and drawings, using precision measuring tools, and assembling complex electrical and electro-mechanical systems.

You will perform reworks, troubleshooting, and testing, with emphasis on safety, quality, and adherence to build processes. Experience with heavy equipment and large assemblies is preferred.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and follow work instructions with precision.
• Assemble large equipment including engines and drive trains.
• Promote safety awareness and quality improvements.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Read basic measurement tools and use calibration devices.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and lifting equipment.
• Strong understanding of MS Office and related software used in shop.
• Knowledge of fluid power schematics and symbols.
• Maintain quality policy and company standards.
• Ability to lead a project or crew when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test mechanical or electro-mechanical parts and housing.
• Read blueprints and perform alignment and testing as required.
• Ensure safety and quality during manufacturing and assembly.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on productionEquipment.
• Use lifting equipment and perform manufacturing math calculations.
• Troubleshoot scenarios to determine safest repair methods.
