Job summary

Tyonek Native Corporation in Madison, Alabama seeks a seasoned assembler to manufacture electronic assemblies, harnesses and box integrations, following M.O., drawings, and Customer Specifications. The role requires strong knowledge of IPC/J-STD, AS and MIL specifications.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 10+ years in defense/aerospace manufacturing, with 6+ years in high-reliability production, plus lean manufacturing and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of defense/aerospace manufacturing experience.
  • 6+ years of high reliability manufacturing experience.
  • ESD, IPC620, JSTD-001 is required.
  • Must be familiar with and understand J-STD, AS and MIL specifications as they relate to Defense/Aerospace requirements in CCA and Harness and box build.
  • Superior knowledge of "build to print" operations.
  • Superior knowledge of applicable specifications required to produce products in a defense/aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Well versed in inspection techniques and specifications interpretation.
  • Possess extensive experience in harness fabrication and enclosure integration.
  • Will have the ability make process changes within the scope of procedures and policies to facilitate production goals.
  • Possess a working knowledge of "Lean 6-Sigma" methodology and be an effective problem solver.
  • Possess working knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • General Computer skills.
  • Must be able to read and write English.

  • Manufactures electronic/electrical circuitry, electronic components (CCA's), and wiring harnesses according to Manufacturing Orders (M.O.), Drawings, Engineering Changes, Customer Specifications, and Process of Instructions (P.I.).
  • Must be familiar with and understand IPC/J-STD, AS and MIL specifications as they relate to Defense/Aerospace requirements.
  • Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Manufactures electronic assemblies by performing various operations to include but not limited to SMT soldering and repairs, through-hole soldering and repairs, wire termination, cable harness assembly and cable harness installation and box integration.

DUTIES
  • Assembles electrical and electronic components, wiring harnesses, and other electrical assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Manufactures electronic/electrical circuitry, electronic components (CCA's), and wiring harnesses according to Manufacturing Orders (M.O.), Drawings, Engineering Changes, Customer Specifications, and Process of Instructions (P.I.).

  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
