Job summary

Stewart & Stevenson is seeking an Electrical Assembler I in Houston, TX to assemble standard equipment and products at 10750 Telge Road. You will read blueprints and follow engineering drawings, perform quality checks, document defects, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

The role requires a GED or high school diploma with 2–10 years related experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse teams. Overtime and standard office conditions apply.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED with 2–10 years related experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others using spoken word.
• Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assemble standard equipment and products under general supervision and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
• Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
• Perform all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
• Confer with supervisor regarding quality or procedure problems.
• Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
