Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Melbourne, FL seeks an Electrical Assembler to join the onsite manufacturing team. You will assemble electronics per blueprints, perform soldering and hardware installs, and ensure quality through self-inspection. Training will be provided to meet product standards and safety requirements.

The role is on site with a first-shift schedule (5:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Thursday). You will work closely with leads and other technicians to meet production deadlines and support

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required.
  • U.S. Person or eligible to obtain export authorizations required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronics to specifications following blueprints.
  • Perform soldering, hardware installation, and post coating tasks as trained.
  • Inspect own work to ensure conformance to engineering requirements and quality standards.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area and report progress to supervisor.
  • Attend trainings and complete required certifications as needed.

Job Description Electrical Assemblers assemble electronics according to product specifications. Follows blueprints to put together electronic devices, tools, and products using hand & power tools and other assembly equipment.

What You Will Do
  • Once properly trained and/or certified, perform specific tasks including but not limited to, soldering, hardware installation, post coating.
  • Under close supervision, inspects own work performed to ensure a quality product which conforms to workmanship standards, engineering requirements and design specifications.
  • Perform in accordance with productivity expectations to meet customer deadlines.
  • Comply with all rules and regulations of Raytheon Technologies, including, but not limited to: Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics and Compliance, Quality, and attendance requirements.
  • Participate in cost reduction plans and continuous improvement plans/events, as required.
  • Participate in audits.
  • Acquire applicable skill/knowledge/certifications and complete trainings as required.
  • Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates.
  • Complete assigned tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills.
  • Must be able to pass a soldering assessment after training course provided.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires HS Diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
