Job summary

Bartelt Packaging is seeking an Electrical Assembler to join our team under the ProMach umbrella. You will assemble components in control panels, install electrical wiring, and perform wiring per diagrams to ensure proper machine operation.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of related experience, and ability to read engineering drawings. We offer a collaborative environment and comprehensive benefits with company growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Reads electrical blueprints and installs components on electrical panels
  • Lays out diagrams for electrical installations according to wiring specs
  • Receives parts kit and inspects for defects
  • Routes wiring to panel according to diagram
  • Drills/taps holes for mounting control units
  • Attaches breakers, relays, transformers and meters
  • Solders connections and completes final machine wiring
  • Performs testing and adjustment of electrical assemblies

Responsibilities

  • Reads electrical blueprints and installs components such as relays, controls and other types of controllers on electrical panels.
  • Lays out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
  • Receives parts kit from inventory; Examines parts for defects such as pinholes or chips.
  • Cleansly routes wiring to panel according to diagram.
  • Drills and taps holes in specified locations on the machine for mounting control units.
  • Attaches breakers, relays, contactors, transformers, insulators, regulator cabinets, condenser units, motor and generator sets, meters, plugging devices, and fuse blocks to mounting holes with bolts and screws.
  • Culs, strips, bends, and forms wire cable, conduit, pipe, and tubing used to connect circuits and subassemblies.
  • Solders connections and crimps connectors to wire ends.
  • Performs final machine wiring.
  • Assists in testing and adjusting electrical assemblies.
  • Records labor hours correctly using the ERP system.

Bartelt Packaging is searching for an Electrical Assembler to join our team. As an Electrical Assembler, you will assemble components in control panels/cabinets and install electrical wiring for Bartelt Packaging machines. You will perform machine wiring independently and complete all phases of electrical requirements.

  • Solders connections and crimps connectors to wire ends.
  • Performs final machine wiring.
  • Assists in testing and adjusting electrical assemblies.
  • Records labor hours correctly using the Enterprise Resource Planning system.
  • High school diploma or GED; technical certificate from a trade school.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Ability to research and read engineering drawings using a drawing database program.
  • Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using two-digit numbers, tens, and hundreds; apply calculations to money, weight, volume, and distance.
  • Strong reading comprehension for instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Dependable, reliable, and committed to teamwork.
