Job summary

AAA United States, Inc. is seeking a production operator in Plattsburgh, NY. You will set up production equipment, including robots and inspection tools, and help maintain a safe, efficient workspace.

You will perform manufacturing, testing, and quality checks as directed by the MRP system, monitor processes, and report any drift to the Team Leader. Candidates with 2+ years in manufacturing and experience with electronics or mechanical devices are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, electronics/electrical/mechanical devices.
• Strong focus on manufacturing effectiveness and quality standards.
• Collaborative, transparent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Torquing and electrical crimping experience required for operators.

Responsibilities

• Set up production equipment, including robots, machines, workstations, and inspection tools.
• Clean and maintain working areas and production equipment to uphold a safe, efficient workspace.
• Perform manufacturing, production, and testing tasks as planned by the MRP system.
• Monitor the production process, conduct basic testing, and perform quality checks to ensure standards.
• Alert the Team Leader to any process drifts or quality issues that arise.

Position Summary:

AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Plattsburgh, New York a global leader in the transportation sector, specializing in sustainable mobility solutions, including rolling stock (trains, trams, metros), signaling systems, and related services.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up production equipment, including robots, machines, workstations, and inspection tools.
• Cleaning and maintaining working areas and production equipment to uphold a safe and efficient workspace.
• Performing manufacturing, production, and testing tasks as planned by the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
• Monitoring the production process, conducting basic testing, and performing quality checks to ensure adherence to standards.
• Alerting the Team Leader to any process drifts or quality issues that arise.

Experience

• More than 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting, specifically with electronics, electrical, or mechanical devices.
• A strong focus on manufacturing effectiveness and quality standards.
• Collaborative and transparent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Torquing – Required for all operators.
• Electrical Crimping – Required for operators performing electrical crimping operations.
