Job summary

FastTrack Staffing is seeking an Assembly Operator for a manufacturing facility in Grand Haven, MI. You will use hand and power tools to assemble components according to work specifications, with emphasis on quality and repeatable results.

This role requires reading assembly diagrams, following instructions, standing for long periods, and lifting 35–50 lbs. Prior manufacturing or assembly experience is preferred, and a drug-free workplace is enforced.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to work with small components.
• Ability to follow written instructions and assembly diagrams.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks.
• Ability to identify different colors accurately.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and maneuver components 35-50lbs.
• Previous experience with electrical assembly or wiring is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble units and their individual components according to production specifications.
• Use basic hand tools and power tools, including screwdrivers, drills, and nut drivers.
• Install and secure metal panels, brackets, shelves, and other structural components.
• Assemble heating elements and related components into designated locations.
• Route, connect, and secure electrical wiring and connectors according to provided instructions.
• Install switches, control panels, thermostats, and other electrical components as required.
• Fasten components using screws, bolts, rivets, and other hardware.
• Read and follow basic assembly diagrams, work instructions, and visual guides.
• Inspect assembled components for proper alignment, fitness, and overall quality.
• Perform basic functional checks and assist with testing completed units according to established procedures.
• Identify and report defective parts, missing components, or assembly issues.
• Package finished products and prepare completed units for shipment.
