Ford Motor Company is seeking a qualified engineer to own the core vehicle electrical hardware architecture for programs from inception through post-launch. You will capture the electrical/software architecture content and lead updates to support program features, while resolving architectural issues across teams and KPIs.
The role requires 3+ years in automotive electrical architectures, experience with microcontrollers, and MATLAB/Simulink proficiency.

You will be a key member of the Electronics Platform Architecture organization, in the Architecture Integration team. The Architecture Integration team owns definition of the complete vehicle electrical architecture. We work with various teams including the Tech Platform Program (TPP), program system, software teams, various ECU delivery teams and the vehicle architecture teams to fully define the architectural content of the platform and for each program. Key work areas for the team include developing a comprehensive architectural specification for upcoming (yet to launch) vehicle programs and work with various functional teams to validate and document Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Your team is responsible defining the evolution of Ford’s electrical architectures.

This position is a salary grade of 6 to 8 and ranges from $74,300 - $166,200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
