Job summary

Suburban Enterprises seeks an Apprentice & Apprenticeship Manager to own the end-to-end development of the electrical apprentices program. You will administer DOL/state reporting, wage progression, and compliance, while mentoring apprentices across divisions.

You will partner with HR, field leadership, and Talent Acquisition to recruit, screen, and place apprentices, ensuring safety, on-schedule progress, and promotable growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and prior experience mentoring, training, or supervising apprentices or entry-level trade employees.
• Ability to build trust and hold people accountable without daily task-assignment authority.
• Strong interpersonal, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with Superintendents, Foremen, HR, and Preconstruction leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own and administer the registered apprenticeship program, DOL/state reporting, and wage progression schedules.
• Maintain apprentice records, level-up documentation, and compliance with ABC apprenticeship standards.
• Develop apprentice wage ranges and level-advancement criteria with HR.
• Serve as direct manager and mentor for all apprentices across Suburban Divisions.
• Conduct regular check-ins, performance appraisals, and career-pathing conversations.
• Build development plans for apprentices and track progress.
