Job summary

Power Design Inc. is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to begin an on-the-job training program while contributing to early electrical installations for multifamily and commercial projects. The role offers a clear career path toward becoming a licensed electrician and potentially a team manager as experience grows.

You will train under a licensed journeyman, learn safety standards and electrical codes, and participate in an approved apprenticeship program with classwork as required.

Qualifications

• Motivated individuals who want to learn the electrical trade and have a high school diploma or GED as well as reliable transportation.
• Register, enroll and participate in an electrical apprenticeship program (and remain in good standing) until program is completed.
• Able to physically perform the essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a licensed journeyman electrician and have on-the-job training (OJT) to become an electrician.
• Assist with electrical installations of a multifamily and commercial nature.
• Learn and perform all scopes of large-scale projects, from distribution to rough in, trim and deck work.
• Participate in official apprenticeship program and attend classes as required.
