Qualifications

  • Ability to quickly learn hand conduit bending.
  • Ability to use two-handed tools and equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and own transportation.
  • Ability to operate a platform lift.
  • Basic math ability.
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions and heed warnings.
  • Attend Apprenticeship Classes and maintain good grades.

Responsibilities

  • Assist electricians with installations, alterations, additions, and repairs to electrical systems, conductors, materials, and equipment.
  • Perform assigned tasks and material handling under the direct supervision of an electrician.
  • Keep materials, tools, and equipment orderly and maintain a clean work area.
  • Comply with company and job safety requirements, including OSHA requirements.
  • Report to assigned job sites on time.
  • Properly store and safely handle tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Assist with wire pulls.
  • Mount and install conduit, wires, and strapping as directed.
  • Identify wire and conductor colors accurately.
  • Read labels, job site maps, directions, instruction manuals, and written instructions.
  • Dig trenches using hand tools.

Job description

  • Ability to acquire and maintain personal hand tools as directed
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation

  • Required to attend Apprenticeship Classes and Functions
  • Maintain passing grades during semesters in the Apprenticeship Program

  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary
