Job summary

ENFRA LLC in Metairie, LA is seeking an Electrical Apprentice I to support installations, alterations and repairs of electrical systems across residential, commercial and industrial sites. You will assist licensed electricians, handle materials, and maintain a clean, safe work area while learning on the job.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, is enrolled in an approved Apprenticeship Program and holds a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must meet entry criteria for Apprenticeship Schooling.
• Must be enrolled in an approved Apprenticeship Program.
• Ability to learn hand conduit bending and use 2-handed tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians by performing tasks and material handling under supervision.
• Keep all materials, tools and equipment organized and maintain a safe, clean work area.
• Clearly understand and comply with safety requirements (OSHA) and timelines.
• Assist in wire pulls and properly mount/install conduits, wires and components.
• Read labels, job-site maps and manuals to follow written instructions.
• Work from ladders and in tight or restricted spaces; handle tools safely.
