Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on projects across diverse locations. You will gain hands-on experience under direct supervision, learning safety procedures while contributing to high-quality electrical work.

The role requires a High School Diploma, enrollment in an apprenticeship program, and the ability to travel 20%–40%.

Qualifications

High School Diploma; 0 years of experience.
Must complete 2,000 hours of on the job training each year of apprenticeship.
Must enroll and attend the apprenticeship school and maintain a minimum passing grade of 70.

Responsibilities

Assists with installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and systems.
Measures, cuts, bends, and installs conduit and assists with wire pulls and terminations.
Uses testing equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues and identify potential problems.
Tests electrical equipment for safe and efficient operation.
Follows applicable electrical codes, project requirements, and company safety procedures.
Assists with material handling and maintains organized tools, equipment, and work areas.
Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly jobsite and storage area.
Performs other duties as required.
