Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to support installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems under supervision. You will gain hands-on experience while contributing to safe, efficient electrical work on diverse projects.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, zero years of experience, and must complete the required 2,000 training hours annually. Travel may be required. The program emphasizes safety, procedural compliance, and skill development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 0 years of experience.
• Must complete 2,000 hours of on the job training each year of apprenticeship.
• Must enroll in apprenticeship school and maintain 70%+ grade.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and systems.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit; assist with wire pulls and terminations.
• Use testing equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues and identify problems.
• Test electrical equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Follow electrical codes, project requirements, and safety procedures.
• Assist with material handling and keep tools and workspace organized.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly jobsite and storage area.
• Perform other duties as required.
