Job summary

MetroPower is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to assist Electricians in pulling cable, installing devices, repairing equipment and reading blueprints. The role requires enrollment in a 4-year DOL-registered apprenticeship and may involve travel.

Pay varies with experience as the program progresses. Under the supervision of Journeyman Electricians, you will help with materials handling, installations, and safety practices at job sites across different environments.

Qualifications

• Must enroll in a 4-year Department of Labor (DOL) Registered Apprenticeship Program.
• Some travel will be required.
• Pay is dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Journeyman Electrician with materials handling, installation of materials/devices/equipment.
• Identify and eliminate hazardous conditions at the job site.
• Maintain a safe, neat and orderly work area.
• Assist with layout, wire pulls and installation.
• Safely operate hand and power tools.
• Receive on-the-job learning (OJL) as part of the apprenticeship.
• Attend classes and make satisfactory progress toward program completion.
