You must be employed by an electrical contractor and obtaining on‑job training hours under a licensed journeyman to qualify for apprenticeship training.
The Electrical Apprenticeship Program is designed to educate the electrical workforce while they are employed and receiving on‑the‑job training. Upon completion, apprentices will have the required on‑the‑job hours to be eligible to take the state journeyman’s test, as well as the classroom knowledge to pass it.
Apprenticeship classes for 2026‑27 begin Monday, August 10 at 5:00 pm. Classes meet one evening per week, 5:00–8:00 pm, August–July.
Tuition: $20 per week.
