Job summary

The Electrical Apprentice at Tomball Controls, LLC will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment, reading schematics and diagrams to determine project requirements and ensuring safety standards are met.

You'll work with electricians, leads, supervisors, and engineering teams to complete projects on time, following PPE guidelines and company safety procedures, with a focus on quality and accuracy in a collaborative environment located on site in Texas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of an electrical training program or related technical coursework is a plus.
• Working knowledge of electrical principles, terminology, wiring methods, and electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and related equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical issues and identify potential wiring or installation problems.

Description

The Electrical Apprentice is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, components, and equipment. This position reads and interprets electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams; performs electrical assembly, wiring, and terminations; and uses appropriate tools and equipment to complete work safely and accurately. The Electrical Technician works closely with electricians, leads, supervisors, Engineering, and other team members to ensure projects meet quality, safety, and operational requirements.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.

• Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and other electrical equipment safely and effectively.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all Company safety procedures, electrical safety practices, and required PPE guidelines.
