Job summary

VanZandt Controls and Eagle Automation is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to join our growing team in the Permian Basin. You will read wiring diagrams, interpret blueprints, and assist in installing, wiring, and testing electrical systems on well pads, compressor stations, and related facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; completion of a formal apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• General electrical circuit knowledge and safe work practices.
• Experience with pipe bending and fabricating electrical/control panels.
• Ensures work complies with relevant electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints to guide installations.
• Plan layout and install electrical wiring for sites and equipment.
• Pull wire, mount equipment, and dig trenches as needed.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems on well pads, compressor stations, and plants.
• Work to design and assemble electrical/control panels.

Position

VanZandt Controls and Eagle Automation has openings for experienced Electrical Apprentice to expand our efforts in the fast paced, and growing oil and gas market in the Permian Basin. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter, reliable, demonstrate a desire to learn and can adapt quickly across job functions and responsibilities. Projects include well-pad installations, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, compressor stations, salt-water disposals (SWD's), plants, and programming. We are looking for candidates that want to grow and advance within our business.

Ideal candidate would have experience in the following

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints


• General electrical circuit knowledge


• Pipe bending experience


• Wiring and fabricating electrical and control panels


• Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes


• Solar Powered Systems


• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment


• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring,


• Pull wire, mount equipment and dig trenches as needed


• Ability to read and understand drawings

Experience

High school diploma plus a minimum of two years of electrical experience. Completion a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
