Job summary

VanZandt Controls and Eagle Automation in the Permian Basin are seeking an Electrical Apprentice to join their oil and gas support teams. The role involves field installations, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming of control systems.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least two years of electrical experience; formal apprenticeship is preferred. The company provides hands-on training and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with at least two years electrical experience.
• Formal apprenticeship program preferred.
• Experience reading wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• General electrical circuit knowledge and wiring/fabrication of panels.
• Ability to plan layout and install electrical wiring and pull wire.
• Knowledge of codes and safety standards.
• Experience with solar powered systems is a plus.
• Ability to diagnose malfunctioning systems with test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Well-pad installations, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming.
• Work on compressor stations, salt-water disposals (SWD's), and plants.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring; pull wire, mount equipment, and dig trenches.
• Read drawings and ensure work complies with relevant codes.
• Fabricate and wire electrical and control panels.
• Diagnose issues using test equipment and plan corrective actions.
• Grow within the business with opportunities for advancement.

Position:

VanZandt Controls and Eagle Automation has openings for experienced Electrical Apprentice to expand our efforts in the fast paced, and growing oil and gas market in the Permian Basin. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter, reliable, demonstrate a desire to learn and can adapt quickly across job functions and responsibilities. Projects include well-pad installations, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, compressor stations, salt-water disposals (SWD's), plants, and programming. We are looking for candidates that want to grow and advance within our business.

Ideal candidate would have experience in the following:

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
• General electrical circuit knowledge
• Pipe bending experience
• Wiring and fabricating electrical and control panels
• Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes
• Solar Powered Systems
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring,
• Pull wire, mount equipment and dig trenches as needed
• Ability to read and understand drawings

Experience:

High school diploma plus a minimum of two years of electrical experience. Completion a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
