Job summary

High 5 is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to assist licensed electricians with residential electrical installations in new construction, remodels, and replacement projects. This hands-on role provides training to develop the skills needed to become a licensed electrician, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and teamwork.

You will work alongside experienced professionals, gain exposure to wiring, panels, and lighting, and participate in ongoing apprenticeship classes.

Qualifications

• Electrical experience: at least 1 year.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Climb ladders and work at heights.
• Work in crawl spaces, attics, and confined areas.
• Indoor/outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn and safety-conscious.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians with residential electrical installations.
• Install wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, panels.
• Pull wire, drill holes, mount boxes, bend conduit.
• Load/unload tools and organize materials for each job.
• Maintain a clean, safe job site before, during, and after installations.
• Follow OSHA regulations and applicable electrical codes.
• Learn installation techniques under supervision of a licensed electrician.
• Attend company meetings and apprenticeship classes as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians with residential electrical installations.
• Help install electrical wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, smoke detectors, breakers, and electrical panels.
• Pull wire, drill holes, mount boxes, bend conduit (when applicable), and prepare materials for installation.
• Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools, equipment, and materials needed for each job.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site before, during, and after installations.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable electrical codes.
• Learn proper installation techniques and industry best practices under the direction of a licensed electrician.
• Accurately measure, cut, and prepare materials for installation.
• Assist with testing and verifying completed installations.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members while on job sites.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.
• Attend company meetings, training sessions, and apprenticeship classes as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of Electrical experience .
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Ability to work in crawl spaces, attics, and confined areas.
• Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, and reaching.
