Job summary

Bruns Construction Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Apprentice to support wiring projects under supervision. The role involves assisting a licensed electrician from rough-in through finish, including installing and repairing wiring, fixtures, and equipment on both new construction and remodel jobs.

The position offers on-the-job training with potential to advance in the field within an ESOP company that values growth and a strong local presence in the Celina area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to bend conduit, run wire and follow directions.
• Competence with hand tools used in electrical work.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Basic understanding of reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electrician in wiring projects from rough-in to finish.
• Install and repair electrical wiring, fixtures and equipment.
• Perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks as experience grows.

Description:The applicant will be assisting a licensed or skilled electrician in wiring projects from the rough-in to finish phase. The position will include installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures and equipment, and the Electrical Apprentice will be responsible for a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks. The tasks will progress as the applicant gets experience in the field, resulting in more independence. The Electrical Apprentice will work in a combination of new construction and remodel jobs. BBD will offer training with the ability to advance in the field.

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to bend conduit, run wire and follow direction
• High school diploma/GED
• Competence with hand tools associated with the craft
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
• A basic understanding of how to read blueprints
• Good communication skills
• Flexibility & willingness to work in multiple positions
• Valid driver's license
