Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Mid-level E&I Designer to support electrical and instrumentation design for large-scale industrial projects in Baton Rouge. You will work closely with engineers, senior designers, and field teams to develop accurate E&I design packages from design through field execution.

Responsibilities include creating and revising E&I drawings using AutoCAD and Plant 3D, coordinating drawings with project stakeholders, and supporting field verification to incorporate site

Qualifications

• 8+ years of E&I design experience.
• Industrial or large-scale construction project experience.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D and Bluebeam.

• Create detailed drawings and project deliverables using AutoCAD and Plant 3D.
• Review, mark-up, and coordinate drawings.
• Support electrical and instrumentation layouts, schematics, equipment drawings, and related documentation.
• Assist with field verification and incorporate existing site conditions into drawings.
• Work closely with engineering, construction, and field personnel during project execution.
• Support multiple projects while meeting design standards, schedules, and project requirements.
• Help identify design and constructability issues before implementation in the field.

• Experience supporting projects from design through construction/field execution
• Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation drawings and terminology
• Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, designers, and field/construction teams
