Job summary

Crossfire Consulting Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented GIS Technician to support electric utility operations in Secaucus, NJ. You will maintain GIS records, analyze asset data, and support transmission and distribution projects.

This on-site role requires 1–2 years GIS experience, knowledge of GIS apps, and the ability to travel between client locations. CAD familiarity with MicroStation or AutoCAD is a plus, and a NJ driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

1–2 years GIS experience through work, internships, or coursework.
Knowledge of GIS applications, spatial data, and connectivity.
Proficiency with MS Office and Windows.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Valid New Jersey driver’s license and ability to travel between Client locations.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update the GIS connected model using work orders, drawings, and field reports.
Analyze GIS data and generate maps, reports, charts.
Maintain service point connectivity, transformer relationships, and asset records.
Identify mapping discrepancies and resolve connectivity issues.
Support relocations, load rearrangements, and new service projects.
Produce GIS prints, distribution maps, and technical documentation.
Coordinate with supervisors and field personnel in a union environment.
Perform occasional field investigations and CAD work.
