Job summary

KIPP Miami is seeking reliable, safety-minded School Bus Drivers to transport students in North Miami on brand-new electric buses. This part-time role operates a split shift at the North Miami Campus (3000 NW 110th St), with mornings and afternoons and opportunities for trips and extracurricular routes.

Responsibilities include student safety, pre/post-trip checks, adherence to routes, and professional interaction with families and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Florida CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements required.
• Must meet Florida DOE and MDCPS standards for school bus drivers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus in accordance with state, federal, and district regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Follow routes and schedules while maintaining safe driving speeds.
• Ensure safe loading/unloading and seating of students, including those with disabilities.
• Maintain discipline and uphold KIPP Miami values of respect and safety.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and student medical needs.
