Job summary

Vast, headquartered in Long Beach, California, is seeking an Electric Propulsion Specialist to support the design and build of human-rated space stations. This full-time, non-exempt role reports to the Director of Production and is located at our Long Beach facility, with hands-on lab work fabricating, wiring, and testing propulsion hardware.

You will collaborate with propulsion engineers to assemble thrusters, power electronics, and test rigs, while upholding safety, quality, and documentation

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on electrical/EM tech in aerospace or similar high-reliability industry
• Experience building wire harnesses and cabling, including soldering/crimping/termination
• Experience working safely on high-voltage systems or equipment
• Machining experience on manual and/or CNC mills and lathes

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and test electric propulsion hardware
• Build and repair electrical harnesses and test rigs
• Safely work on high-voltage systems and equipment
• Run, maintain, and troubleshoot vacuum chambers and pumping systems
• Document configurations and data accurately
