Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies in Lee's Summit, MO is seeking an Electric Motor Repair Mechanic. You will diagnose, repair, test, and rebuild a variety of electric motors and generators in a hands-on environment where quality, safety, and craftsmanship come first.

Competitive pay starts at $25+ per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience with motors, and the ability to work safely with cranes and shop equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade schooling preferred.
• Experience repairing industrial electric motors and generators.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience operating shop equipment, cranes, and forklifts.
• Ability to read and use precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Safely inspect, disassemble, diagnose, repair, assemble, test, and paint motors and generators.
• Repair a variety of equipment including AC/DC motors and generators.
• Use micrometers and other tools to measure parts and ensure tolerances.
• Document repair processes and reports using Microsoft Windows and Excel.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and pallet jacks safely.
